I agree it's not too late. Even if now you do condone human sexual commodification, you still can be a better individual. And change this worldview that will hurt both yourself and others at the same time.

 

I respect you for keeping your psychological balance intact. I also see that no person should be valued just for his or her sexual attributes. It's beyond insulting. Look at reddit, there are many men who confessed having a bitter feeling after realizing the women they slept with were only after their own sexual enjoyment. They might have enjoyed first, as it was a novel experience, but later they started feeling empty and lonely.

Oh for fucks sake, I'm not condoning sexual commodification, and at no point during the thread did I do such a thing. From a moral perspective, I do not condone pornography, I do not condone prostitution or other forms of sex work. From a practical perspective I do not oppose it, because I am a single individual and literally do not have the power to change anything, all I can do is work on myself, which I am doing, thats why I am on a website for bloody porn addicts. I do not have the worldview you prescribe me, I do not believe the things you seem to think I believe in, and I doubt that the others you have been arguing with in the thread do either. To insinuate that people who disagree with you on this extremely complicated, nebulous issue are basically worse people is the absolute peak of moralistic arrogance. Who the hell are you to call @Ghost in the Shell "vicious and exploitative" and infer that he is a degenerate just because he broke down your overly simplistic and one sided argumentation? All you have been this entire thread is a sanctimonious busybody and honestly, its getting extremely tiring. You have an eerily similar username to a user who in the past defended the Islamic slave trade and the totalitarian Chinese government because they had a colossal hate boner for the West. Now maybe it is a crazy coincidence but if you are in fact the same user, you have absolutely no leg to stand on when it comes to preaching to others about their supposed morals.

Sorry but I have the right to express my mind and I have been civil the entire time. There are numerous threads who ends in likely fashion or even with degrading insults, and all this time I still stuck to the mean subject: human commodification, dehumanization and feelings of entitelement. So, there seems to be little reasons to point an off-topic to the mods.

Conclusion:

If you think pornography and other related practices, in any form, are completely wrong and immoral, then that's fine. Likewise, if you think that pornography and other related practices, in some forms, are fine for certain practices and consumption, then that's fine too. We all have different ideas of what we think is moral and that's just how we were created.

 

As long as these moral criteria do not change according to the person we apply them to, and chose to stick to them as strongly as we can.
