I am a 35-year-old virgin. I was in a conservative country till 1.5 years back and now in a Western country since then. You guys are so lucky that you can have sex after 18 (or even before in many cases). In my country pre-marital sex is taboo and I feel the urge to use escorts for 1-2 years to make up for lost time, before getting married to a girl. My ethics tell me otherwise.

 

Helo there. I tried to read every comment because i´m quite concern about this topic. In my case i have paid from prostitutes since i was 16 years old. I had been with a lot of them, like thousands, i´m not kidding. As you @BetaToAlpha i´m also getting to my thirties.
I don´t know really what to say. Your pint of view @BetaToAlpha discourage me. I mean, if i were still virgin i would go running for an escort to try out what sex is about. On the other hand, me, myself, the real one, in this very moment... want to believe that there is another way. I can tell you, escorts will not bring you happines in the long run. I want to recover the part of me in my youth that still believes in love... and trust me... after being with such a number of escorts this idea is not easy... You can take it or leave it, but my advice would be to find as many hobbies that interest you as you can, and be as social as you can (assuming you have transportation to go places?), while focusing on the aspect of making FRIENDS and CONNECTIONS as often as you can (with people who share your interests; and if you can’t find them, don’t give up, it could even be something as simple as volunteer work), because I’d say you definitely need friends to have good rapport with before hooking up with a gf.

Alternatively, channel this angst and frustration you have into something that benefits you in a worthwhile fashion.

I've had the same. I've been to a prostitute for the first time in Spain during holiday with my friends. Of course everyone got laid except for me.
So my friends argued that I should visit a brothel and that they would pay for me. So I did. Fucked a prostitute, didn't even came. She was uninterested, nothing intimate about it. What a way to lose your virginity.
Second time I went was in Germany. After getting my drivers licence a friend said he would pay for me if we drove to Germany (I live near the German border in Holland).

I say dont do it man. Im a 24 year old virgin and have had multiple chances to have sex but I never did because the girl did not feel "special" or maybe I was raised on the idea of sex only in marriage. Do what you believe in, and dont let others or the "culture" influence you. And if your horny its probably Porn induced and thats something you have to correct.

 

Nikolai is full of shit. Where I live in Europe there are no escorts and I myself would never ever consider sch an appaling and unworthy activity as visiting a prostitute, disgraceful.

 

It depends, Europe is not a country so it could differ. I know here in the Netherlands it is legal. Also in Germany, Spain, Hungaria, Czech Republic to name a few.
But yeah, I agree it is not 'normal' or accepted behavior, even if it is possible by law.
