Men are from MARCH challenge :emoji_earth_africa::emoji_rocket:

There is a book and a saying that goes 'men are from Mars [...]...

Well, then what the **** are we waiting for?? We have to return home guys!

In this challenge, you will get the opportunity to practice self-restraint from P and/or M in combination with rigorous systems-based creativity while practicing your intellectual/analytical skills. It will take place mainly during the month of March, but let me also emphasize that the mission can last a lot longer (only your imagination is the limit!). This means you can start this challenge TODAY if you feel like it :)

The main premise is that you start off at the launch site, and every 5 days you achieve a new milestone on your way to Mars.
There are 2 missions you can choose from: March Lite Exploration (No P) or March Advanced Life-Support Mission (NO P or M). Some baseline principles will be presented here, but please comment on them/suggest improvement on them. Feel free also to suggest new rules as we go along:

    1. day 0-5: On the brink of space Shuttle with 5 astronauts (or whatever number of astronauts YOU choose for YOUR mission!) is launched according to schedule, and you are safe outside the outer atmosphere
    2. day 5-10: Journey through space (part 1)
    3. day 10-15: Journey through space (part 2)
    4. day 15-20: Configuration for landing
5 day 20-25: Landing procedure safely executed
6 day 20-25: Drone habitat and mineral mining facilities established. The crew now lives in the shuttle with limited life-support.
7 day 25-31: Conquering Mars. Power systems are up, and crew built a minor habitat with life-support for the team of 5 astronauts. Congrats, you have (begun) to conquer Mars at this stage!
8 day 31-36: Locating a cave with ice (water) to sustain life.

Principle 8: If you P (or P or M) your life support systems are struck by a disaster, killing your crew that accords with whatever step you are located on above. These disasters may be inspired by a game or just your own imagination.

Principle 9: We wish all who start over good luck with their new journey through outer space. They'll need it!

We have 1) INDIVIDUAL MISSIONS and 2) we launch a COMMON (COALITION) MISSION that starts March 1st. Countdown for the COMMON MISSION has begun. Individual missions may launch at any time. The common mission is for those who feel it's more motivating to be on the same ship as others. The rule is that if you relapse, you "die" and the rest of the crew move on. The common coalition mission will be an Advanced Life Support Mission (NO P or M), but it can also be Lite Exploration if the crew agrees on it.

Feel free to share images of your journey! It might be a drawing, it might be a screenshot from a digital or board-game, or just a picture of a desert you're where you're feeling the morning breeze in that reminds you of Mars :D

So, whose in??? Let's conquer MAR(S)CH!

    Hi, I'll join Life-support mission!

    Day 1 No PMO
Day 114 No Porn (That's why I don't choose lite exploration)

    Story:

I'm alone here. From windows, I can see earth becoming smaller and smaller as the time passes. The sun also looks white instead of Yellow in here. Going to enjoy gravity-less sensation.

Welcome Magnus! I wish you best of luck on your journey through to Mars.

I started my journey yesterday! Wish me luck! :emoji_earth_africa::emoji_rocket:
Mission type: March Advanced Life-Support Mission

Myself and 4 other co-astronauts are getting along well. We feel relieved as the launch procedure went well. The mood is light as we're just outside the exosphere:

    Urgh...... Relapse.

    Story:

Something went wrong with my rocket's oxygen system, writing this while suffocated to death......

Aigh..... No time to be sad. I shall win, as this never ending battle will not crush me.

Happy to get onboard with this crew and visit territories as yet unexplored.

That is what this journey away from PMO is all about, exploring a new state of mind, a new world... :emoji_metal:

Day 24, checking in here. Prepared to keep active on this thread and always open to DM for any support.
My own mission: to reach the end of March having propelled myself and others to personal streak records for 2022, to hold in good stead for exploration into the new frontiers beyond :emoji_rocket::emoji_rocket::emoji_rocket:

WELCOME Sean Edie! I wish you best of luck on your journey! I interpret your journey as an individual journey. But let me also state that crew members can join teams and start a launch together (common mission!). So feel free to do what you want :D

Countdown to launch, Captain! We only need rocket fuel to get to where we’re going. Match 1st, we fly!

  14. Simorgh

    Simorgh Fapstronaut

Indeed fellow crew-member!! We got to tank up a helluva lot of fuel to go where we're going! :D But we'll make it I'm sure!

So, based on the wishes so far I suggest the following: We have 1) INDIVIDUAL MISSIONS and 2) we launch a COMMON (COALITION) MISSION that starts March 1st. So countdown for the COMMON MISSION has begun (8 days) for those who join on March 1st! Individual missions may launch at any time. The common mission is for those who feel it's more motivating to be on the same ship as others. I further suggest: The rule is that if you relapse on the common mission, you "die" and the rest of the crew move on (you may then start an individual mission). The common coalition mission will be an Advanced Life Support Mission (NO P or M), but it can also be Lite Exploration if the crew agrees on it.

All the best from Captain Elk :D
