I’m 19 years old, been watching porn since I was 12-13 but recently it’s gotten so much worse, when alone up to 3-5x a day, and chat rooms. I need to quit or it’s going to ruin my relationship. Where do I start and what do I do to begin quitting. I can feel this shit rotting my brain and destroying my dopamine reward system.

  3. I was trying to figure out what M19 porn is . . .
(I get it now, you're 19 and male).

You are in the right place. First step is recognising that you have a problem. Next step is trying to quit. Then, especially if you are struggling to quit, asking for help.

You will find support on here. Start a journal. Respond to other peoples threads. Get an accountability partner.

    THROW AWAY ALL YOUR PORN!
Or delete if it's all digital. Delete your browsing history. Consider accountability software. Consider going to therapist or school counsellor. Consider going to 12 step groups like SA, SAA or SLAA.

Hey brother. Quit now because it will only get worse. I am 40 years old, and day 140 of no porn. This addiction ruined my career, my relationships, and the best years of my life.

If you are serious about abstinence you will need to change your life. Also, abstain from social media. Most relapses start on social media these days

Get a therapist and share every detail and try to figure out why its grip is so strong on you. My therapist was the first person I ever told about my porn addiction and it was extremely liberating. We fixate and think no one could possibly understand what we are going through but there are professionals out there trained to help us. “Name it and Claim it”, admitting what you done is a powerful tool in moving forward.
