This is probably a little bit unorthodox .. but my CSAT mentioned that maybe I wanted to post something here on NoFap. My CSAT is starting an in-person group for PA's .. I asked her if it was essentially an SA group. And she said, No. She told me that at a normal SA (or AA) meeting .. everyone shares [who wants to] .. and there isn't too much "cross-talk" -- just people sharing. This meeting will be much more encouraging of cross-talk / there will be homework and worksheets (I think based on the Carnes book) / people commenting on and helping other people's thoughts / etc. My CSAT said that she wants the group to be around 8 people .. 8 PA's .. I got the impression from here that there are a couple open slots. The group will meet Monday nights .. starting on February 26. So WHERE? For now, I will say the Greater Washington DC area. .. If anyone is interested .. please PM me. I think the best thing would be for me to then give you the email address of my CSAT .... and you can email her and figure it out from there. (this group meeting on Monday nights does not cost anything)
Super cool opportunity. I'm that way once a month or so, I'll pm you. Where I live I haven't found a CSAT group meeting that cost less than $50. I get that with demand so high, they can name their price. But it effectively closes the door to many peeps. Kudos to your counselor.
That's such a great idea! I wish there were groups around us. The SAA group well it wasn't anything that was helpful for Jak. I agree cross talk, and homework sheets, that sounds like a great group!

Was Actually thinking about this recently.. Wonder if there was a way in the future to have a group Skype meeting or something? (for this therapy group) For those further away
