Introduction, or, I am "Go" for Launch!

Greetings all.

I'm a single Catholic male in his mid-30's presently fighting a losing battle with Internet porn. I get and stay clean for a day or two, perhaps as long as a week, but it's only a matter of time before I'm at it again. The urges especially manifest themselves when I'm alone in my house (living w/ Mother @ present).

I can hit up confessionals from now until next Christmas, but the chemical urges are what I need to address now if I am to, as my Faith puts it, "sin no more and avoid the near occasion of sin". I am fully aware that viewing this stuff is dumb, sick, and wrong. The fact that I'm only setting myself up for relationship failure in the real world but still seeking the illusory pleasures of my own flesh anyway is my I'm here.

It should be noted that I haven't ever been sexually active. Which, given my state as the last of my family line, is rather disconcerting. So that's another reason why I'm here. If I wallow in fake depraved sexual acts accessed via a computer screen, how will I ever be ready to perhaps engage in the real thing someday???

This might be my last best hope at getting and staying clean.
