i just made it to 90 days today after repeated failed attempts

    but im not receiving too many amazing benefits besides little to no acne on my skin. my social anxiety actually gotten a little bit worse aswell as my general anxiety. taking aswaganda, but it doesn’t seem to help that much. i wanted to start cold approaching women after a decent streak cause i thought nofap was going to give me that no fucks given, fearless, confident attitude women are supposed to like but can’t do that now cause my anxiety is just too bad. am i doing something wrong that is affecting my benefits or do i need a longer reboot? started masturbating at 13 multiple times a day and now im 27

    Phase 1. Endure and purge
    Phase 2. Recognize and reward your efforts
    Phase 3. Expand your interests
    Phase 4. Improve positivity

    You are only at phase 1.
    Each phase is 90 to 180 days.
    Continue your abstinence and focus on your self therapy and recovery.

    There are no amazing benefits.
    You are simply returning to normal.
    What you are doing now is simply empowering yourself.
    The self empowered person is the most attractive person.

    so when will i actually feel good and be more confident or is that tough to say? i quit porn fairly easy and never was really addicted to that, just masturbating. but right now it feels like my brain is trying to trick me into thinking im going to feel better if i relapse. i got my second wet dream on my 90th day though is that a good sign? thanks for the feedback.

    Congrats on 90 days! You may still have a bit to go since you mentioned that you were MO'ing multiple times a day.

    Getting wet dreams is a good sign that you are healing.

    You'll feel better when you engage fully with life without escaping back into PMO world.
    It is like school.
    If you embrace your course work, solve the difficult problems, you'll be popular and have good grades.
    But if you escape into gaming, drinking and partying, your grades will fail, and you'll suffer from difficult career because you have no skill tackling difficulty.

    yeah but i just hope im not stuck in PAWS. kind of getting me worried cause people recover in 2 years from that.

    People in paws aren't doing much.
    There's a lot of study, practice and recovery to be done.
    If you focus your time on these, you'll do fine.

    Focus on becoming more attractive, superior and interesting.

    Attractive is looks. Clean up your face, get good haircut and workout.
    Superior is ability. Become an expert in some things.
    Interesting is knowledge. Know things other people don't.

    Be busy. Worry less do more.
    Stop looking for issues
    Start becoming positive and look for opportunity

    only thing on that list is working out. thought with nofap it was going to give me more energy from the testosterone boost boost and make me go more hard at working out. but i can barely do 20 pushups in 1 go.

    Try to make time for the gym every other day. I also find walking daily for 1 hour is a great way to clear my mind and also helps stay in a calorie deficit.

    If you need tips on how to get stronger, I'd recommend checking out Kinobody on youtube, he has lots of great videos.

    thing is with me, i can never be consistent with either diet or working out. i would say that diet is the hardest part for me as im always giving up.

    I used to struggle with the diet part too, until I started doing intermittent fasting.

    I skip breakfast and only have black coffee and sparkling water throughout the mornings (both of these help blunt your appetite). Then, this allows me to use the calories I saved from breakfast to have a big satisfying lunch and dinner. I got very lean doing this, something to consider trying.

    The pushup challenge is a good one. You'll find if you are consistent and do max push ups everyday, your numbers will grow pretty fast. Within a few days, you'll be getting 25, then 30 and up. The trick is consistency and push yourself to the max even if you are struggling. I just do it during the time it takes my coffee to brew (usually 2 minutes) and I can still crank out 100 at 53 yrs old. Give it a go, you have nothing to lose. No more excuses.

    If your entire effort to do nofap is because getting laid, well you can come back to addiction perry easley. Change your mindset and don't worry too much. When the time is right you will find that special someone. Live your life like a normal person. There is nothing wrong with being normal.

    there will never be that time as long as my social anxiety holding me back. thats why im hoping nofap to change that, not necessarily for getting laid

    Is that really true? Why is it that you could never do that? Understood, if there is a physical disability. Otherwise, it is your choice. If you believe you can't then you won't, if you believe you can then you will.

    This is important because it doesn't apply to just a silly push up challenge, but it applies to all the important decisions in life that can change your life for the better. If you start off with little goals like this and see the change in your life, it is easier to apply to the bigger things in life that you want to change.
