This is the real issue, I think I know what the OP meant "IRL porn" was probably the wrong choice of words.

I can understand it. I used to do it in one of my old accounts but now looking back I regret a lot of the things I said. It took a lot of self-reflection and listening to wise people speaking about how to respond to people you disagree with that helped me change. I'm not saying don't disagree but it might not be wise to take part in a fight that takes up all two or three pages of a thread. My personal rule on this forum and social media is no more than three responses to someone I disagree with. It takes self-control to do it but someone practising it is more admirable than someone who seems to have no restraint.

We still have similar attitudes in Western countries regarding the way women dress and rape. Some men think women are just asking to be sexually assaulted if they wear revealing clothes, they don't stop and think maybe she wears the clothes because they're comfortable or she likes the colour. It might be possible she's dressing for male attention but she might not be either. It isn't just men who think like this though. I remember my Mother once saying it's no wonder women get raped when they dress immodestly. Growing up we all had a tough time living in purity culture but the young women had it tougher. The thing is the purity culture I was in was driven more by older women than men. It seems to me for there to be a modesty culture women are at least enabling it if not driving it. The whole idea of women supporting other women is nonsense, some women hate other women.

I believe this is a more recent phenomenon ( last 100 years). People in general are less supportive of one another than in the past. Both my grandmas talk about how they grew up. They had to be supportive. If a farmer got hurt and the cows still needed milking neighbors would step in and help. There was more “ community”. We no longer have that except in very rural communities. I also noticed my grandmas didn’t have the same purity views as my mother. My gosh my mom is bad! She’s 84, and will try and shame my girls. My girls dress very modestly! My grandmothers never, ever, did that to me or my cousins or sisters.

I know but it's nowhere near the level of third world countries. My country is pretty progressive compared to other Muslim countries, but those attitudes and prejudices are still deeply rooted.
