Book Club: Staci Sprout's "Naked in Public"

"Naked in Public: a memoir of Recovery from sex addiction and other temporary insanities" was written by Staci Sprout who was also a spokesperson for NoFap when the founder was (and probably still is) embroiled in a defamation suit.

Has anyone here read her book?

I want to commit to reading this recovery book and would love to discuss it here if anyone is interested. I am going to start this book now and will gladly participate in the discussion.

 

I've just read the Disclaimer, Preface and Introduction . . .
Wow! Staci is really well spoken. I love this book already. I don't want to spoil anything, but already it gives me hope.

 

I read the first few chapters. Short chapters, well written. I’m impressed! I feel like I totally get her way of thinking. And there’s oodles of resources for both addicts and their partners

 

9 chapters in and appreciating the book so far, though much of the sex addiction seems secondary to other issues and addictions.

The title is unfortunate (as it could be off putting or people might assume it’s about exhibitionism) but the idea is beautiful … i.e. healing your shame and living a healthy life without secrets.
