Obviously there is no data on anything like that.

There is no single data on any advantage given by nofap.

Where did that statement came from? Where did you read about it? Or everyone else?

Where did you read any studies about nofap advantages?

They're not even measurable, not talking about studies.

What did you think, you would be superman by now ? ;)

Come on, nofap is any outher recovery program. You will not have the big benefits if you don't have the big problem.
An alcoholic will have a "bigger" recevery from quiting alcohol than a person who quits but is not an alcoholic.
A porn addicts who has spent all his life PMOing every day will have a "bigger" recovery and benefits from quiting than a person who has watch porn 1 a week.

This beeing said, Life is so much better without brain alterings substence and big dopamine kicks from porn etc.

Good to read your experience as you did hard mode for 6 months. Whenever I relapse after a while, I'm done in a few minutes also. I can't see how abstaining improves premature ejaculation. I think nofap is partly placebo but hope I can see improvement over time and have the discipline to decrease PMO. Thanks for sharing

That's very naive coming from you. You feel the changes. The reason why you can't measure them, is because of lack of adequate studies/instruments if that's what you're asking about. But by all means, I would put my money on changes happening when you stop it.

But it feels to me like these are the early years about this, of people looking to actively change their habits regarding addictive and obsessive compulsive masturbation.

With continuous accumulation of evidence, changes will become clearer to everyone and you'll know what to expect.

From what I see, there are plenty of different individuals here arriving with different starting points. That's why the advantages you may or may not feel would not be dismissed by someone else who was in a different situation.

Also, you're dismissing the fact that plenty of people may not be mature enough to rationalize what is going on with them. Others will be anxious by nature, and many others will have to work over other issues of abuse and emotional manipulation.

I don't know about you, but I've never read that stopping masturbation would be the holy grail to fix all these issues... It's a process. And you'll be closer to achieve your goals by reducing or completely stopping compulsive habits, habits which are making people feel bad about themselves and miserable.

Maybe you don't feel the advantages? It's possible. But everyone is different and everyone arrives here with different starting points....

Personally speaking, I have approach anxiety. I cannot speak to girls even if I'm seriously attracted to them. Removing masturbation and porn out of the equation does not automatically make me speak with girls, but it gives me mental sanity and clarity. It makes me aware of what other areas of my life I need to work on, and what other habits I've been covering and neglecting by just masturbating and not think about what was going on.

If I'm going to stop masturbating forever? Of course not. But when you do it 5 times in under 2 hours or less, or it's what you do when you wake up or arrive home from work until bedtime, even you have to agree that enough is enough.

If you can keep things balanced and under control, fine for you. For others, complete abstinence is the way to go, at least until things can be more under control...

I'm a shill? I'm paid by someone to write here is that what you're saying? Really? That's the level?

When you stop masturbating and watching porn you turn back the desensitization.

I never had problems lasting 15\20 minutes at least, now i can come in 20 seconds, it's terrible.

The first one is 48 hour study on rats.

The second article is not very precise, it talks about studies, but it's not very precise. This said, i believe that article, the problem is, i didn't experience a sparkle of the things they happily talk about ;)

I was thinking like you when i started. Sorry to tell you you are not going to change your problems with girls doing nofap.

That's the first lie they tell you about nofap, and everybody believes that.

as they say, the plural of anecdote is data. myself and many, many other nofappers can attest to the results of nofap/no porn.

    - return of morning wood
    - return of quality erections
    - reversed delayed ejaculation
    - increased motivation and energy
    - improved sleep
    - no more brain fog
    - loss of social anxiety

    and the list goes on.

I don't think you're actually reading and absorbing what I'm putting an effort to write about, and as such, you can't understand what is it that we're talking about.

I feel sorry for you at this stage :/
