Hi everyone, I'm a 23-year-old male, and I've been using porn since I was 17. Ever since that first experience, I've been hooked. Up until recent times, I didn't feel a need to quit. I could comfortably go a week without PMO at a time, and I loved to allow it as a reward to myself at the end of every weekend. However, I've steadily increased my pornography consumption over the past two years. It started with porn use several times a week and increased to once a day. Over the past several months, I've started watching porn and masturbating several times a day. I've noticed a sharp decline in productivity due to a lack of motivation and time spent watching porn rather than being productive. I've decided to stop for both myself and my girlfriend. I'm worried about the permanent changes that porn may have on my brain. I also want to be able to give her my full store of sexual energy rather than wasting much of it on porn and masturbation. I plan to abstain from PM from now until the end of October for my initial goal. If I meet this goal, I hope to extend my reboot. Here's to putting the breaks on PM before it has a more adverse effect on my life and relationship!
