We should all be grateful that we're attempting nofap now rather than later. Because if Virtual Reality is the future, then tomorrow's porn addicts are going to have a seriously difficult time quitting. VR will intensify addictions. I tried VR when my old housemate bought the goggles and porn was obviously his incentive for purchasing. Of course he raved about having a good time, so I tried it too (I plugged headphones in for a fuller experience) and... OMG. It was totally immersive. Have you seen that film Don Jon? The lead character's girlfriend compares porn to cheating. Some cliché girlfriends may say the same thing. I disagree. But when I tried VR Porn, it felt like I was cheating. The goggles' 180-360 degrees vision truly does trick your brain. Taking them off feels like you've either returned from teleportation or woken up from a vivid dream. Parents used to worry about kids sitting too close to the TV but now they have a whole new thing to worry about! My other posts... My roommate bought VR goggles and no doubt he's gonna watch VR porn. I'm sorry for him. He doesn't realize what he's inflicting upon himself. I'll try the goggles for gaming but I pledge to never buy a kit myself. I'd end up hooked on VR porn too and I don't think there'd be a way out of that addiction.
I tried this once...it was (to my addict brain) the most novel, incredible thing. I sold my headset straight after. Even in the height of my ignorance about porn addiction I realised it could fuck me up on a totally other level.
Well said. I did the same thing. When my housemate moved out, I made sure he took his goggles with him.
I would love to try VR gaming, but...VR porn, hell no. I'm almost afraid to buy some incase i have some strange mental twist that makes me think somehow just trying it once will be fine... I tried cocaine once and that landed me with a 5 year addiction from hell, I tried online porn once and that lasted about 15 years. I think some things are best left alone. Not all that glistens is gold so they say
There is this old TV episode... Before vr porn was much of a thought, let alone a Thing... But it's on vr and scientists are working on vr and this guy gets to go "test" because his friends letting him. 200 experiences they are working with... Go anywhere in the world... Do anything, experience things you would never get to do... The pitch is amazing, he's so excited. He gets 90min. He looks forward to it all week. He, of course comes home and his wife asks "how was it what did u do? Did you skydive or Climb a mountain or ride a horse?" (they live in a city) she' eexcited to hear all about it. He's excited to talk about it. He rubbed lotion on a supermodel. And all he can do is talk about how slippery the lotion was because it Felt So Real. The show is like 30 years old. Tells u something right there I think.
That's deep. Like a lot of inequality in TV - it was probably written by a male (and females are their greatest weakness). Thanks for sharing that Kenzi
It's interesting for sure... The wife in the show was mad... Especially when he tried to touch her afterwards. He was blowing her off at the end... Content with "how real the lotion felt" It's interesting for sure. Like, predictable, predictions? I guess
There was one former Fapstronaut that tested VR porn experience two years ago if i remember correctly. I'd say he described it the similar way you did. It will certainly have huge impact on younger generation as its nowadays easily accessible. One thing is for sure that this will scar those even more. Sad but true...
I abstained for 1 week and on the 7th day i came across nofap and set up an account. The next day my friend came by and showed me some VR porn on his phone. I'm glad I came to these realizations when I did because If not I probably would have set myself up as well. VR solves the shitty camera angle problem and you can look in any direction you want to. New angles in HD has to mean more dopamine than ever.
