Yeah, so this just happened https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/27/hugh-hefner-iconic-founder-of-playboy-has-died-at-age-91.html
i feel sad for him. he had a superficial life even though i love Playboy's fragrances. i am a girl btw
The devil had to collect st some point hope he repented lol I don't wish death on anyone but he contributed to making this society more perverse
Huh..... He owned alot of porn and controlled where the majority of trends went.... Wonder what will happen next? His daughter is taking over...
Hate to say "good riddance", but a wasted life is a wasted life. He paved the way for porn and made degrading women "classy" and accepted. I hope his passing causes many to reflect about the man he actually was and the cancer he spread.
Those women certainly didn't feel like they were being degraded. In fact, most of them considered it an honor to be picked for the magazine. Stop projecting your views onto people who don't agree with you. You and I chose to view porn, and porn would have existed with or without Hugh Hefner.
Pretty sure that's the exact point Nomar was making, actually. It's sad. They should feel degraded by that, but they don't, because he made it seem "classy" and like an honor.
Pretty much. IMO, what he accomplished doesn't seem worth much and it doesn't look like it benefited society as a whole.
So.... Is everyone on here going to blame one dead guy for their addiction? Or are you going to take responsibility for your own actions because I'm pretty sure it was each of you who decided what you looked at, or what your hand touched and did. And as long as one woman wants to be the "center of attention" and men want to share her, then that's the problem with porn. Women = objects .... She's just a picture, or something to be seen and had and nothing more. It doesn't matter if it's her or you who casts the light as long as the light is cast, am I right?
I didn't get that vibe from anyone in this thread. Nobody said "it's hugh hefners fault I'm addicted to porn!" They're just being honest about the person he was.
He isn't the direct cause of our porn addiction but you would be lying to yourself if you deny his contribution to porn and encouraging a hedonistic lifestyle before playboy men didn't give a shit about how they dressed or their sex appeal they were to busy being providers for their families and finding their purpose
This. I don't blame Hefner for my porn addiction. My addiction was/is a result of my choices, period.
