You probably will relapse along the way, stay vigilant...

So, I've been on and off again for the past year and have stayed relatively clean, partially thanks to an accountability partner I found on here who's become a friend. For those who doubt, I did go 95+ days at one point, but have had my share of relapses.

I want to throw something important out there. Every few weeks after you feel you've conquered this, you will relapse in some way and it will all come crashing down quicker than you expect. For me, it's been things like re-activating my Instagram or Tinder account and it leads to a bad road. Luckily, every time lately I've realized it relatively soon on and have gotten back on track, and reset my counter (have one on my iPhone). Because of the fact that I have not had sex it gets especially frustrating. It always starts with something you shouldn't be doing but you feel is relatively harmless. WRONG, it's not harmless and it will come back to bite you in the ass. So this is a warning to all of you, and a reminder to myself as well. And I hope you guys don't relapse, but you very likely will. I have pretty good willpower, and I've fucked up a few times along the way. I'm really motivated to get back on track. Hopefully I will have sex again, it's been over 2 years for me, but I need to be willing to work on myself and have faith that in time things will work for the better.

Overall, I am TREMENDOUSLY better and more happy than I was 1 year ago, so I hope that gives some motivation to you beginners.

To add to this, keeping a spreadsheet is a much more accurate representation of your habits than having a counter. Say you've relapsed recently and your Counter has only six days on it. However, if you've only relapsed once in six months, that's progress and you are getting well regardless of what your Counter says.
