The alcohol thing is a bit of a big deal, possibly too big for this forum but we'll see.

Just about to! 1/21 I will join a gym and go at least three times a week. Every day is a little overdoing things. Change it to do exercise every day, including floor exercises at home or football, the latter which I managed. It was a good day

Another yes 1/21 I will join a gym and go at least three times a week. Gym-joining takes place tomorrow: I had a walk around the park which is exercise of sorts although not exactly lung-busting. Lost track of the days somewhat having not been so diligent in coming here. Also had a pretty major lapse necessitating another reset, for reasons I explained in my journal. But this is just the start, right? Can't expect it all to be easy. With that in mind here's an approximation of what I've been up to: 8/21 I will meditate every day, alternating between Mindfulness of Breathing and Loving-Kindness. Yes, although I'm trying out new techniques, different meditating strategies. 6/21 I will immerse myself more in my local community by eating at local restaurants, thereby practising the language more. Went yesterday and ordered exactly the same thing I always have. 2/21 I will regulate my alcohol intake so that I stick to the recommended 14 units a week. Er, no. Actually been hitting the bottle pretty hard. 7/21 I will write every day. Bits and pieces. Set myself a goal to write something for a fiction reading in a month's time. 6/21 I will check this forum every day and read at least three other peoples' journals. Been here once I think over the last few days. Should make more of an effort. 1/21 I will join a gym and go at least three times a week. Seems like this idea died before it could begin. I have been out walking a lot though. How do I feel? A little disappointed in myself although I'm not feeling as bad as I might. I can accept my failings quite easily at the moment without major self-loathing. Working towards having more self-respect which means: no porn, no escorts, less alcohol, more exercise and more time spent doing the things which make me a better person in general.
