Never give up fighting man! You are going to beat this and your life will get so much better when you do! Every time you fall, dont think about your failure, think about how you are going to succeed! You got this! Nobody is beyond saving!

I can't honestly say what was wrong. Only that me and a highly skilled tech buddy couldn't bring it back. Like I said, I have had viruses and malware before and since.....but this attack ended the game with that machine.

  4. Seriously, i have no idea. but when i look at what i spent on drugs on a weekly basis, soft and hard drugs, including alcohol, that's the guestimate. I had some weeks where i spent £200+ on getting wasted. Always managed to have enough at the end of each month to pay the bills. I was a 'functioning' adddict in that i could pull my shit together when i needed to and i was more of a binge user as opposed to daily, although soft drugs ie: weed was definitely a daily thing for me back then. You would be surprised how many people manage to hold down a job whilst being addicted to one substance or another. Eventually though the cracks will start to show and things will come tumbling down like a ton of bricks. Addicts are very very resourceful people when they need to be, it just a shame that the resourcefullness is put to use obtaining drugs and getting high rather than doing something meaningful in life like helping others or starting a business and employing people.

Excellent comments Thorswrath! If we addicts just refocused half of what we wasted.......

  6. We already have everything we need and everything we are ever going to need, we just got to tap into it. Refocus is crucial, but to do it you need to have a vision and be willing to grow into that vision you have of yourself in the future, ocasionally we might need a kick up the butt and a nudge but, if you know where you want to be, sometimes all you need is a bit of faith to start with and often that starts when someone else shows faith in you first.

  7. Hello John. :) This is a deeply affecting thread. Although I have not spent any money (directly) on porn, I am still ruled by my fetishes and seeking to break them. There can be nothing harder in this life in my opinion. I really feel for you mate.

You said about "looking at a folder of 400GB worth of videos I either bought or custom ordered". Have you completely deleted all porn and p/subs from your devices/clouds and what have you? It is essential you do so, despite the pain. :(

Great decision to be here. Maybe you can channel those funds to recovery related material. HERE are some things helping me.
