Strip club/relapse?

Its not helping your recovery obviously so you should try to stop that in the future but its not a big deal. Don't fall into the same stupid trap of telling yourself "Back to day 1" after something that's not a big deal and then actually having a full relapse because your back in the "Day 1" mind state.

TLDR: You fucked up but who cares? Just learn from it and move on. Don't reset the counter and don't put focus on it. Its never accurate to real progress and hurts you more than it helps.

 

What's a strip joint? It doesn't sound like something people on NoFap would go to...

 

I would encourage you to look beyond the standard PM/PMO stuff talked about here and take this very seriously as a possible escalation of a sex addiction. It's an escalating behavior for sure. Trying to minimize it by saying that it wasn't technically what your counter was for, while that may be true, it's not going to help you are serve you in the long run. Bottom line, if you feel shame about it, if you wouldn't want tell your wife or gf you were doing it, it counts. I have been in recovery for 8 years and was an active addict for 25. I can tell you it only escalates without addressing it.
