The premise of this is that NoFap & Semen Retention (when practiced properly) increases drive and motivation and male hormones (like testosterone) which equates to higher levels of performance and results at the gym. I've had experience with this and can attest to the results.

What about you guys? Do you agree?

I'll be talking more about this in Part 3 of my series posting in a few days, but in my experience (last 6 years+ celibate by circumstance, last 5 years 4-5x/week workouts with weights and calisthenics, last 2.5 yrs SR), I would argue that physique gains directly attributable to the chemical/hormonal effects of keeping your semen inside of you are pretty minimal. Where the gains do come is in the fact you have more motivation, self discipline, and time to actually get into the gym. That's where the benefit really manifests. It's not like your semen is some sort of super steroid that will make you jacked without even trying.

That's the premise... your increase in drive/motivation = working out harder at the gym = more gainz

I do believe that semen retention aids in raising testosterone which when combined with proper diet does produce better results.

By what percentage is hard to say. Maybe anywhere between 5 - 15%

Agree wholeheartedly. I have more energy, fluidity and stamina now than I did when I started going to the gym, which is just under 20 years ago. Imagine that -- that I could outlast my younger 20-year old self. I outlast most people at the gym, and sometimes twice a day I go.

SR is just intrinsic and essential power. Before it was my mind moving my muscles. Now it is my muscle and mind working as one. Way more effective.

What if having a six-pack etc. puts the the abdominal muscles into a state of continual contraction which in turn prevents the free flow of blood, lymph, nerve, digestive contents, and energy into and out of the abdominal area, the body's center of gravity? What if the feeling of "strength," of being "pumped up," is simply due to this muscular contraction and is not real strength at all? What if the abdominal area is where many past emotional states are held?

That's a good theory but it doesn't exactly apply to having 6 packs. If anything what you're saying applies to more so to excessively sitting. When you're constantly sitting (hunched/slouched posture) you're flexing your spine (technical term is kyphosis). This shortens the abdominal wall and compresses the diaphragm and inhibits deep breathing (which is why crunches are horrible for your posture).

The abdominal area is definitely where emotional trauma is held. The continual contraction is valid if you're muscles are tightened/contracted because you're excessively sitting, holding your breath/faulty breathing, or are suppressing your emotions.

In terms of working out (properly) not so much the case. But you make a good point.

I also recently tested out ejaculating daily for 7 days straight and let me tell you, I felt SKINNER spiritually. Even physiologically the blood, lymph, nerve, etc. you speak of felt diminished... scary.

Now that I'm back on SR, I literally feel like I have a "pump" like I'm on creatine... I shit you not very noticeable difference

I agree with what you’re saying about the excessive sitting. You were brave to try out that ejaculation experiment, seeing as you know about SR!

Unfortunately I haven't noticed more energy, but I find I have more strength.
There are benefits, it's an old school method. Athletes wouldn't ejaculate for weeks before a match

  11. I've been on semen retention since May of this year, and I'm definitely in better physical condition now than when I first started. It's hard for me to establish the link between semen retention and better physical fitness without mentioning the number of lifestyle changes I've made over the past few months. Whether or not semen retention was the catalyst for the changes I've experienced is a point of contention

There is zero scientific evidence that semen retention alone will lead to any gain in the gym. However, mental strength can lead to more effort in the gym and if you want to believe that it's semen retention that is helping your gains, than that placebo effect may help you a bit.

As we all know, the combination of the sperm an egg has the power to create a new life form, which then divides itself into millions upon millions of cells. With this in mind doesn’t it follow that semen retention and transmutation will have beneficial effects?

If you feel it is working for you, who cares what decraters have to say, more often than not they simply have no experience with SR or the gym. In my experience whether natural or on a cycle the vast amount of gains in your gym career in regard to hyptrophy come in about 6 weeks and from then on it is pretty much all about finetuning and maintanenace. Nowdays I do mostly bodyweight and work on some calisthenics stuff, with some highrep dumbell training thrown in. I train very intensely and have no doubt the SR helps and is part of the whole picture.

Every study I've seen about T-levels with SR suggest that the effect peaks at around Day 7 of abstinence. That seems to line up pretty well with my own experience. After a week of abstaining, I am noticeably stronger in the gym, without question.

There are some who question the evidence of raised testosterone levels ... but I can tell you that every single lift I do is objectively stronger--either heavier, or for more reps than normal--after 7 days clean. Call it anecdotal evidence, but it's worked every single time.

Maybe because no one is really studying this or taking it seriously. I heard once that they tried to do a study of this on college campuses, but they couldn't find anyone who could abstain or was abstaining. Who would fund such a study, certainly not the industries that profit from supplements, porn and pharmaceuticals. There are no financial interest in promoting nofap.

I believe the raising of T is real, I feel it in my horniness and in my extra effort working out. It's my sexual desire that drives me to push harder. More importantly, the days I have relapsed are literally depleted. I'm normally a gym junkie, but if I relapse, I can't complete a workout or I complete only half heartedly.

That's almost funny, for sure it would be hard to find the study group that was abstaining. I'm glad what you are doing works for you, as long as it's positive and it works for you, that's all that matters.

In many circles NoFap and SR are common knowledge. There are a hell of a lot of Youtubers including female talking about the topic.
