Seeing therapist for porn addiction

I think it helps a *lot* but it all depends on how you screen for a therapist. My last therapist was a male who obviously had no problem with porn, so for my new therapist I screened for a woman who I felt would be more understanding. So far this is been pretty successful, and it's been nice to have a place to open up about it. Ideally there would be great to have someone more specialized in the area, but for now it's nice to just have somebody who doesn't defend porn and can sympathize with the problems around the industry and addiction.
