Today is going to be a tough day. Snow day = no work = a lot of down time. Hopefully faith will pull me through and continue the streak.

Day 14 of 30: One day before the halfway point and my greatest NoFap victory yet!

    First thing, morning wood!

Alright, normally I wouldn't start off a post like that, but I experienced flatline starting approximately 1 1/2 days ago. As I got up this morning, I wasn't expecting anything.

I looked down and this is approximately the mental conversation that I had with my penis:

Brain: Is that what I think it is?

Penis: What else did you expect? It's morning time....

Brain: But, the flatline...I thought you'd be like...50% now or less. Are you sure that you're at 100%

Penis: Does it even matter? You're up, is all I can say. If you don't appreciate it, I could go back to 10%

    Brain: No, it's cool...

Jokes aside, I posted that for myself (and anyone who cares to read) to highlight these moments in the NoFap path. Developing NoFap discipline has its good days, its weird moments, and its funny moments. Yet, in that moment of temptation, all we see is either the lust (when we feel overwhelmed) or the regret (when we fail). There's more to it than that.

Rely on faith, reinforce with habits. Don't tell your mind that it's going to be a tough day (even though I admit that I still say this a lot!). Plan your day so that:
    A. You know all of the awesome stuff you're going to do today!
    B. You know what thing you're going to do if things go wrong today
    C. You are prepared to do the same thing all over again tomorrow

I'm new here. I wanted to start "easy" with a 15 Days challenge but now I think it's important to show myself my resolve to get ridden of this.

So, Day 0 of 30 Days hard mode begins.

  7. Good luck. You have set yourself a tough but noble challenge going for 30 days. If you can make a serious go of it then and use as much time as possible to find some useful threads to follow about the forums. Some really helpful viewpoints and tips about the place

Congratulations on your journey to awesome! Be careful in believing that any day is "easy". You are literally rewiring your brain. That takes time and effort, but that's the reason you're awesome when you arrive on the other side.

One last thing, at this point in the game, it will not simply be easy to "get rid of this". Psychologically speaking, once you create a habit, it doesn't totally go away. You may have heard the phrase "Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic". That phrase has some ring of truth to it. Even if you go for decades without masturbating or porn, the habit is still there and that cycle picked up again. A better approach is to replace your current habits with a new habit that better aligns with the new you.

Stay strong, take it one day at a time, use this time to create awesome!

Failed on Day 15, which also happens the number of days in my greatest NoFap victory.

I don't want to go into a lot of detail about it. I will just do what I tell other people to do, recommit.

Before relapsing, I did come across some resources that I might want to practice for future battles.

Think of that as a victory - next goal is to beat that previous best - and DON'T BINGE now.

Cleared Day 2: thanks you all for supporting me.
Well, that was something I didn't know: thanks for your explanation!

And remember "There is honor in loss, if that loss brings learning": next time you will return even stronger!

I'm going hard mode, no pmo for at least 90 days, I'm here because I realized the damage pmo has made in my life and I want to change that

    Hey Brother
I've been enjoying your journey and noticing your support of fellow passengers here.
I am feeling a strong emotion in reading that you relapsed.
You sounded resolute in your intention. Curious what opened the door for you before you chose your course of action.
Was there feelings associated with the activity afterwards? Did you feel satisfaction? Shame? Guilt? Pride?
    Joy? Lightness?
I notice the healing begins when the relationship to the temptations change and there is a awareness and then mastery of the mind instead of unconsciousness and slavery to the mind.
Hence the questions... to assist in the development of consciousness...
For me consciousness leads to mastery, unconsciousness = autopilot behaviours

    I believe in you brother

What support have you set up to assist in your journey? Have you got a system in place? An app? A lifestyle that supports the change? Someone you care about that you can talk to?
