I never create a goodbye thread when I leave a forum, I just stop showing up. Delete the forum from my bookmarks too. Simple as that.

I agree this site can be depressing. Hearing about peoples pitfalls is never truly amazing and cheery. But lashing out is useless, relapsing is a fuck but literally you had one job

 

You do get likes in return and people checking up on you from time to time and also you have a very committed friend you've made here who gives you great support.

Most people give support not expecting anything in return for it. Maybe next time warn the people here that you will only give support under the condition you get supported back and in the way you want it.
