New Flashlight user

So I am living far from home going away to school its been a lonely 6 months and it has be a wild one. After coming here and away from my dear wife I could not help but to enter my old ugly world of virtual lust. After 4 months of no jerking off and having sex everyday, I was incredibly sensitive and of course all this progress was lost once I started using my hand and porn.
I am sure you guys have heard of death grip and whatever but basically along those lines.
I decided to get a flashlight and to give any information to the people that care:
1. opened the STU flashlight, initial rinsed it out with warm water bc it had probably corn starch all over it.
2. inside was a very hard wood-looking pole thats made of plastic. I did get the SLEEVE WARMER and it is absolute shit. a) it doesn't warm the outside b) the temp is nowhere near where they make it seem to be. c) it cools down very rapidly d) to get the flashlight to get on I had to apply lube on it first which led to more cleaning.
3. the fleshlight itself was a fun activity but my first mistake was to indulge with it and porn. decided for the next few days to not look at porn and just try to regain my desire to maintain an erection.
4. fleshlight is helping get a more realistic feel and is helping last longer but there are a lot of time where I lose my erection simply bc I am not enjoy it as much as porn or my wife. BUT the longer I go without porn the better it is getting.
5. anyway remember cornstarch on your toy or you will be sorry.

 

Are you saying this from experience or just recommending as a way of life?

I have stopped porn for 2 weeks already and won't be going back! (god I hope not) and honestly I already feel much much better.
My real motivation for using the toy is basically to keep me away from porn and to pretend I'm with my wife. Also I would hate to go back to her in a few months and not be able to perform how I use to.
