Lives of sex offenders

Maybe this is wrong, but assuming they were actually guilty of their crimes, and particularly if they involved children, I feel no sympathy or pity whatsoever for them.

 

There is a necessary social penalty for that crime - social ostracism.

Removing them from society is important as the first and primary purpose of society is to protect it's children.

There is no harm feeling compassion for them, but justice is necessary for the health of society. Also, there is redemption spiritually for them as well. But, justice for the good of all society must be paid.

 

But if they already served their time, why should they be punished for for the rest of their life. If you steal, assult or even Murder you are not forced to live in camps or be punished the rest of your life after you get out of jail. Why should sex affenders be different?
Also what sucks is everyone assumes being a sex offender means you molest children. Not true at all. You could have sex with your wife and later she could claim it was without consent thus rape. Now you are a sex offender and lumped in with child molesters. If you slap a grown woman's as that is sexual assult. Also, what about the 2 teen agers that have been dating and having sex starting at 16 and the guy is 2 months older than the girl.. now he turns 18, she is still 17. Now its Statutory Rape and he is considered a sex offender child molester for life and has to register as a sex offender no matter where he lives for the rest of his life. This is real bro. Or how many times do teen girls dress up and lie about their age to get into bars. That one underage girl had a fake ID and lied about her age and did Girls Gone Wild videos that landed the owner in jail. What do you do when the girl lies and looks older? Ok what about all the female teachers having sex with 15, 16, 17 year old boys. The guy is getting high fives from all his peers, but she now is a registered sex offender for life, but almost always has a lesser sentance and maybe just probation compaired to when a male teacher hooks up with a female student.. you see its not black and white.. why should they be punished for life for this crime vs if you rob, steal, or beat someone to almost death? You have no symathy. What if your daughter turns 18 and has sex with her 17 year old lesbian girlfriend, should she be punished for life and have to register as a sex offender and child molester. This is real.

What do you do when a girl your dating gets drunk, begs for sex and jumps on you, then later claims it was rape because she feels guilty for having sex and blaims you instead? But you are 2 adults. Now you are a sex offender.. look at the head of wiki leaks. He is charged and wanted for sex crimes because he had consensual sex 1st with a women, they go to sleep. He wakes up in the middle of the night and wants more sex, slips it in, but she is asleep still. Now its rape. So even after time served he would be a registered sex offender and have to be ostricised from society for ever and punished for ever...

 

Yo, almost every single person on NoFap.com is techniqly a sex offender. If you have even seen on your computer or phone a sexual image of an underage girl you are a sex offender.. how do you know the age of all these girls from porn all over the world. 15,16, 17 years old who are fully developed and look older from Russia, China, Philipines etc?. Of course you have seen under age girls if you use porn. And now you are a sex offender who looks at kiddie porn and needs to be osticized for life. You dont even have to try to see underage porn. Its just mixed in everytime you do a google search. Of course lots of them are under 18 and lie or the porn makers dont care in these countries. Duh! Ok now be punished for life. Yes, you're right. "sex offender" is too broad a category. I should have wrote "pedophile". Typically, that is understood to mean preying on young, prepubescent children.

So, yeah. If they can't control themselves, boot 'em out of the tribe. Forever. (Similar to quarantine, which is done for contagious diseases as well.)

When we have sympathy for the perp we lose compassion for the victim. I find the crime so horrifying that I believe the punishment i suggest is fair justice. USA and most Western European cultures miss the boat on this imo.

 

Ok. So what is the age cut off u recomend.. day a guy turns 18 and his long time girlfriend is still 17? And if not what do u feel the exact ages are should be under? Also what about underage with underage? What if the boy and girl are 10 and play Dr? Should they both be punished for life?

 

So u also feel that if a 40 year old man takes a gun and blows the head off a 12 year old girl after he serves his time he is forgiven and can move on.. but if that same guy only fingers her he is punished for life?

I think their paraphilia is just some kind of mental disorder, however, having them near children, even if they never done anything in real life, is dangerous. People like that should seek help and stay away from children, and even preferably abstain from having children themselves.

Those who aren't pedophiles but simply sex offenders should also seek help if they haven't done the act, I think it's not normal to want to abuse someone.

Those who have committed the crime should be locked up.

Its interesting how society is able to take such a clear standpoint on these matters while history is full of contradicting views and practices. Even today there is many examples of socially sanctioned sex involving prepubescent children. Dont get me wrong, i think its a mostly exploitative and dangerous practice, but there is so many examples where societies functioned for hundreds or even thousands of year with institutionalized forms of pederasty and child marriage. What changed really? Word in the written law?

 

I agree. I suppose another way to view it is protection rather than justice. Justice should have been served if they ever get out from behind bars. Protection is for making sure measures are put in place to protect society from them victimizing anymore kids.

Can you explain more about what you mean by redemption is possible for them spiritually? I was looking for a thread on kiddie porn to raise awareness as an organization I am familiar with has been cracking down on darknet pedo rings and busting child pornographers left and right. I think if more people talked about how prolific it actually is today we could protect more future victims. At least I just wanted to share a couple things in a related thread. Hopefully I find one but I guess I could make one.
