start talking to girls for small stuff and then basically when you are used to talk to them you will be ready to ask a girl out. it is not frightening, I assure you. I used to be that afraid about guys (i am a girl), i couldn't even stay in the same room just with guys and i didn't look at any of them. btw i kissed for the first time and lost my virginity at 21. you just need to socialize more. socializing is the way to become confident and be at your ease around people
