I have a fetish that is in remission

I'm a 30 year old male and ever since I can remember I have had a certain sexual fetish. Here's how it started. Around the age of about 12 years old I developed some sort of addiction or extreme draw to thong/ g string underwear. It was very intense and a woman could could up in attractiveness by a huge amount just by wearing thongs or g strings. This fetish was specific in that I dont get turned on at all by other forms of women's underwear only thongs. For a couple year period between the age of 12 to around 15 it grew very intense with or without even looking at porn. Around the age of 15 years old I developed an anxiety disorder, maybe relating to this or maybe not I can't recall since its been 15 years now. I began taking an antidepressant for my anxiety disorder and within a few months this fetish totally disappeared. In that I mean thongs were no longer a sole turn on to me but regular sex was a turn on too. I have been taking the medication for 15 years now. I have come off the medicine a couple times only for a few months each time and the fetish comes back. It is pretty strange how it works like this I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this with a fetish before ?
