Hi there. I have not been on this site nor made a post in awhile. I do understand why you have limp penis though when you PMO. I came upon this issue years ago myself and I wasn’t even doing nofap or knew of this site. This happened to me out of the blue during PMO which I did a lot throughout my younger years. I believe around 32 yo I descended into a daily PMO habit of once, twice, and sometimes three times a day. That lasted for 7 years until I finally found nofap and began to start healing now for the last 5 to 6 years.

Anyway point is that during a PMO session I realized that I had flaccid sick and wouldn’t get erect to hand or porn. I was lucky I didn’t abuse myself further until I figured the problem out with a doctor. Well, went and got MRI and found I had a benign tumor on pituitary gland. Off to the endocrinologist they sent me and I was diagnosed with prolactinoma. Basically my pituitary was secreting huge amounts of this in my blood stream. A short detail prolactin is what is produced after orgasm from the gland in men after orgasm so our erection goes down. We would have trouble if we couldn’t do that you know. So, basically PMO abused this hormone in my body. I was given a prescription of cabergoline which was incredible and immediately removed excess prolactin and it’s odd but my soft penis grew a bit back to normal which indicated to me that it was working.

So, this happened before Nofap and no PMO the last five years. I decided to PM only and no O so prolactin wouldn’t be abused anymore so basically masturbating to the point of O but stopping and not ejaculating, I did that for a couple years and finally found nofap and started to recover completely.

My advice to you and I’m sure it is the issue with you and many other men it is too high prolactin which if it is you will not achieve erection even with any good feeling until prolactin comes down to normal. Even THEN if you can get a diagnosis of this, medication, and get the hormones back to normal you have to maintain no PMO. Get your prolactin and testosterone back to normal for a year at least before having sex and NO PMO or risk the flaccid limp dick again with PMO. Casual sex after awhile should be okay but talk about with future partner because again you are healing and when you orgasm with women you use prolactin so you see now what happens when you PMO 10 times a day as opposed to sex with partner.

I just saw endocrinologist and prolactin is good but testosterone needs work. We have to get good sleep and get off the booze and weed so much. All estrogens. Casual use is okay possibly buy your call. You want to get fitness goals no PMO, SLEEP, GOOD DIET and gym are all you need. No drugs or steroids to do it either.

Hope this helped and good luck to you and everybody else healing and recovering from this nast porn and PMO HABIT.

You say that in order to recover, orgasm is forbidden at all for a few years

I think it's a lack of sensitivity to porn because I've seen a lot and even that stopped being exciting

anti -depressants always suppress libido and erections. didn't your psychotherapist tell you this before prescribing?

What I would do if I was you is go to see a doctor or several doctors who specialise in this area and gain an opinion. Or even try to contact someone within the field that Gary Wilson is in, sex/porn addiction, sexual health. Possibly even go to a sexual health clinic if there is one nearby. You can get all the opinions you want from people online the problem is that it's anecdotal and may or may not apply to you. Plus there are a lot of people on Nofap forums giving shitty advice based on their own unsupported beliefs. Scientist and spokespeople make claims all the time that they do not have the time or platform to elaborate on in that moment. It can send anyone listening (who don't have the context or understand the nuance of what they're saying) into a tailspin , panic or anxiety. The best thing in my opinion is to speak to a professional who specialise in this field and try to learn more about what you can do.

He might have not even have been referring to sexual dysfunctions. I know for myself that I developed a porn induced fetish that never went away after I quit for years in the past but it didn't affect my quality of living/progress. There could be many ways that statement he made can be interpreted. So try not to jump to conclusions :) Just try to learn more and stay open minded + hopeful.

    You can do it ;)

This is the worst thing, this addiction. I'd rather be addicted to hard drugs like meth or cocaine rather than porn

I had sex with my gf 2 days ago and I can tell you that our brains oversexualized by mass media, news, games, porn etc. We don't have to crave for sex that much.

I believe this is the best answer. While some of us have gone down this path so deeply and so long, it will appear that we will always have lasting damage from it and we will always be susceptible to falling into the trap of PMO again. But there is hope of recover and it is possible if we stick together. The opposite of addiction is connection.
