Well, if he said so, then apparently there is.

I don't think he meant porn when he said irreversible consequences. So calm down.

That's just his opinion and here's mine: What we do has positive and negative effects on us. If you've looked at porn you cannot undo that. The less you less you look at it the less of an effect it will have on you. Looking at porn will probably cause you to have things that you need to unlearn like how you think about women and your expectations of a relationship. You're not permanently injured, you can recover but it will take a lot of hard work.

I mean by irreversible damage that the erections do not return or the normal libido does not return

I have no idea. Probably best to seek the advice of medical experts who specialise in this area (which Gary Wilson isn't). I guess I'm more concerned about the mental effects of porn than physical. Either way, I don't think it's a good idea to kill yourself over it.

He may have a point in that there are damages to the brain that cannot be fully reversed. Not that we can't recover to a great degree. You have a full life ahead of you, one with many great and beautiful possibilities if you take the right steps. You can heal from this I assure you. All you have is the person that you are now, it is best to be thankful for that as a gift from God, and do the best that you can with what you have been given. You have a forum full of men here rooting for your success, and I truly hope that you also have loved ones in your life that do the same.

The erection and sexual sensation may not return, that's the only thing that worries

Cold baths and raw milk is a healthy cure for pmo. It takes 40 days to undo a bad addiction but in severe cases 90 days might be needed. All addictions can be undone. 90 days of Hardmode without peeking is enough to rewire the brain

I know of a fellow who was on here, ran into him maybe ~ 8 months ago. He was in a very similar situation, had a girlfriend, his abuse really shot his libido and ability to have an erection. He tried for years, along with help from his GF. Eventually he did start to recover. It was gradual, but over several months(at the end of what I remember being ~2 years of effort) he gained more normal function. Wish I could remember his name so I could point you to his posts.

For some of us it takes a lot of time for our mind to prune all of the old connections we had to porn. If you haven't done so, consider committing 90 day monk mode - that would be no orgasms even with a partner. It's even strongly advised to avoid arousal of any kind, or anything that would trigger it. That gives the mind the full chance to come back to a baseline. Even if not using porn, having sex or plain masturbation can fire up the old pathways that porn left, which means the mind will keep them around.

Except for weak morning erections that have returned, I don't see any change

Yeah, it does sound really similar. Like I said, he went on like that for like 2 years (from what I recall) before he had some improvement. It sounds like you'd be ok to do things with your GF if were willing and able. Your mind has had plenty of time to heal. That sounds really hard, and I am sorry to hear you are going through that.

It might also be good to get your hormones and blood work for nutritional deficiency checked. Sometimes it's something that our body is lacking that can have a great effect on us.

My case is extremely serious 11 years of severe addiction six years ago even porn didn't excite me I would masturbate to porn if penis is limp for six or seven years no matter what I watched and if hand stimulation I can get 60 percent erection

Does anyone know someone like me who has recovered from this condition or is it irreversible

Hey brother, i'm sorry to hear that.

But i just to ask you the following because i red your posts a lot of times and maybe it can help you to find the correct path to fix that:
    • Are you eating well, suplement with vitamines (vitamin C, B12, omega 3...), sleep enough amount of hours and doing excercise frequently? The rebooting itself is not enough to recover
    • Are you experiencing high stress, anxiety or neurosis? This is important because if you have high stress or anxiety you are not going to have a good erection! -> If your answer is yes (i think you are experiencing neurosis or anxiety) you should take psychiatric help urgently
    • Have you ever visited an hospital for discard any serious physical problem?

It's just that I'm an extremely severe case of addiction if it escalated and flatlined severely before I started abstinence
