Step six completed! I guess this wasn't supposed to be easy for anyone. The hard days must be dealt with as well. If you don't, then unfortunately it will get even harder very soon, for a long time.
Day 1/2 checking in! Why: I’m done letting my engery and self-confidence steal away from me! I can do this!
3/7 Guys, have you got your plans ready for what to do when temptations hit you bad next time? What is your response to them?
2/30/0 looked at pics of girls today, initially had thought of letting it slide but decided against it. Don't have one. What can you do when your value system flips?
I was also looking for a rush from movies today. I ended it on time, but I know this will cost me something in the next days. Responding to the external is not enough if you're acting behind your own back. It's hard to see there. What flipped? Is it in place again?
4/7 With each further clean day you become more proud of the run, and want to mess it up less and less. A possible failure is becoming more costly, which is good. If you're constantly thinking there's nothing to lose, it can keep you stuck in misery. If you don't feel you've got something valuable (streak) you don't want to let go, just believe that the feeling will change soon enough. Don't deny your own chances.
That's a fun way to put it. And it's true, being dishonest with oneself doesn't pay off. Otoh, honesty doesn't guarantee anything on its own. When Mr Hyde takes over there's nothing you can do. If you normally believe A but then suddenly a part of your brains switches and now you believe not(A). It's as if the goalkeeper changed team during a football game.
I fell into edging on Tuesday noon After that fell, I've been clean for two days (don't have time to check in and reset my counter since I was busy with college things) So today mark my day 2/3
