That's true, it helps a lot. I'm getting more active in Social Media, reading (can recommend you "The Alchemist") and doing more sports. And, of course, spending more time with my wife, family and friends, avoiding being alone at all times.

  2. i think the same, and think the alone thing will evolve, but agree initially its a risk factor

The problem is that porn is hyper-stimulating... beyond anything nature intended. That’s why people have all the negative symptoms and why they want to stop watching it permanently. It’s completely different from sex.

The best porn-blocker is your commitment to NoFap.

  6. exactly
but i think it also needs you building a better life, so you dont keep reverting to porn when things turn shitty or tiring

I think it's helpful to draw a distinction between an out-of-control over-inflated libido, and a healthy one. A healthy one is also a moderate and restrained one. I also think libidinal energy needs to be sublimated into something else.

It is difficult but not impossible. Achieving it involves self-mastery... but most people want the easy way of mediocrity not the difficult way of excellence.

The real difficulty is that people will tend to swing one way or the other in their thinking on this matter. Either I must go cold turkey and defeat this thing right here, right now... or nope, it's just too difficult and even unnatural [abstinence].

The pragmatic approach is to balance out the idealism and realism - yes, you are going to defeat this, but it will be a process and take time.. a process that may involve changing your very self.

  10. exactly, something else needs to shift

  13. I spend years trying different filter programs. I finally gave up on them about a year ago and am having more nofap success than ever before. Just get rid of the filtering and be aware that YOU make the choice of whether or not to relapse, not the filter.
