Hey, wondering if any of yall program. I am a novice but I've been studying python and web development for a little. I'd love to meet some of yall and maybe introduce yourself and what languages you program .

Hey, man. I mostly use C#, but I know some Javascript and Python as well. Are you trying to build anything specific?

  3. Currently I am learning Javascript, I am interested to learn Python later!

I know HTML and CSS, I'm currently learning Javascript. After that, maybe react.js and python. I'd like to be able to do remote / freelance work some day :)

I do freelance coding work (or did before this whole coronavirus stuff scared away all my clients), the freedom is great but you sort of have to become an asshole if you actually want to get paid. It's crazy the amount of outstanding cash I've had to hound down from clients for months before getting what I was promised. The job security is 0 even after you think you've secured payment. That said it's rewarding work, and cozy.

I'm mainly a Ruby guy, more specifically Rails, with experience all over the map; Arduino, Bash, HTML, CSS, JS. I'm adding DevOps stuff to the tool belt right now, though. I'm deep in the paint with Ansible, CircleCI, Docker, and Vagrant right now. It's one thing to write the code, but it's another thing to make it go.

I ran a business a few years ago, so I know exactly what this is like. And small claims court isn't fun.

  18. How to learn compilers guys?

  19. Probably writing one would be a start. Everybody worships 'the dragon book' so maybe try reading that.
