An Introduction by New Member Elron with Techron

To go ahead and address the elephant in the room, the name comes from the Chevron with Techron commercials. It's just so fun to say. Elron is just a made up name that I thought sounded cool. Now it's super-cool because it has Techron.

With that out of the way, my name is Elron with Techron and I am a new member to this site. *cue applause* A brief introduction of myself: I am a high school student who's big into band (especially marching band) and plays the Alto Saxophone. I code in my freetime and when I have the energy, patience, and attention span for it. I also enjoy graphic design and image editing and am in the process of starting my own little small business doing just that. This in lieu of going through all the trouble of finding an actual job.

On the "darker" side of me, and the reason I am here, I've been watching porn since I was eight years old. I have steadily and slowly moved my way up throughout the years to harder and harder things until today where it's mostly actual pron videos that I view. It began with me looking up Justin Beiber naked (don't ask) and all went down hill from there. Although, and I may be wrong, I believe I quit for a few years when I was nine and ten.

In 2017 and 2018 it was starting to get pretty bad. I was watching porn (defined then and now as any video or image where private parts are exposed) at least once a day for many days in a row with only some three days in between streaks. Around mid-late 2018, I decided that enough was enough. I downloaded Cold Turkey on my computer and downloaded the Spin browser on my phone. Although I somehow still found new and inventive ways of finding porn (I have some stories to tell about my desperateness), it was largely effective at decreasing my intake.

However, Cold Turkey was a real pain, because in order to fill every rabbit hole, I ended up blocking a lot of websites that I actually needed to use. Furthermore, I had reason to suspect it was slowing down my computer significantly. So in April when my blocker time was up, the first thing I did was uninstall that pack of viruses. I was not worried at the time because I was going whole two weeks at a time without watching porn. I felt like my addiction had been broken.

Fast forward to the last two weeks. School lets out and I find myself with a lot of time and nothing to fill it. Suddenly, an idea, a prospect, comes to mind as a way to fill that time. Surprise, surprise: I've watched porn at least once four out of seven days this week. I'm pissed off that the addiction is coming back and I want it to stop.

So that was my story and this is my plan: Use this website for ideas and support, resinstall that mangy bundle of malware, add the Spin browser back and block every other browser on the store, and do everything I can to make sure that even if I'm screaming and crying I won't be able to access what I want desperately.
