Hello, I'm new here, I've been masturbating since I was 11 and watching porn since I was 12, I joined NoFap to regain my confidence, and end the distraction and addiction to masturbation and porn that brings me nothing beneficial.

For the past 2 years I have always been trying to abstain from PMO but the most I could abstain was about 40 days.

Today I'm on day 9, I found this community and reading what you guys go through and can do motivates me and convinces me that I can do it too.

Porn addiction has made/makes me create multiple sexual scenarios with people I see on the street in my head daily and it weakens me a lot and demotivates me.

Also, my triggers are very easy to activate, any hot girl I see on TV immediately gives me a slight urge to masturbate again.

What can I do to stop this?

Hi Basgsar, likewise, I've been into porn and masturbation since I was 10 and I've been abstaining for god knows how long. I think you've already made a lot of progress, 40 days is incredible. All you need to do is push that limit a bit further, for example try and make it to 45 days... or maybe even more?

Also, if you see anything like that on the telly, it's pretty unfortunate. I get that too... bloody triggers. You kinda have to stop watching the TV when it happens, I suppose, and do activities that you find interesting and that don't trigger your addiction, for instance, playing or learn to play an instrument, reading (as-long as it's not erotic which is also a problem I get and triggers it), sports... It has to become an instinct, once it has happened you have to get up and do something, because if you sit down and do nothing, it'll be too late.

I'm not full of great ideas as I'm very new to this community as-well, I only joined less than a month ago. Just keep doing what you're doing, I think you're doing great!
