I am reading up on how to channel my mind when the urge does come. That could be doing many different things. Exercise, reading, hobbies... I would really appreciate some help and support on my journey as I look to do the same for others here. This seems to be one of the better forums for past porn users. Hope to hear from some of you soon. Porn really is an unnecessary evil that destroys lives and families.

I think I will use this daily to help me stay completely free and clean from porn. I started using Only Fans recently but will come away from that also. I have used web search filters to block adult sites (but it has been easy for me to switch the filters off in the past when I felt the urge).

I ended up using substances, regularly using phone sex lines, frequenting massage parlours and escorts. Not for full sex, but close enough.. I've been able to come away from porn at times but it always seemed to find me again (or vice versa I should say). I have tried therapy in the past (only temporarily helped). Maybe this forum can be the one saving grace for me.

I am very grateful that I have just found this place. I'm hoping it will provide a sanctuary for me as I stay committed for the 1st time in my life to refraining from using porn. Porn seems to come in so many forms and gets easily escalated as the addiction takes hold and the need to search for even bigger highs.
