Hello all. I've been a member of this forum for going on 2 years. I just stumbled on this group yesterday. It appears the former leaders have deleted their accounts and moved on. Hopefully they have recovered and are living their best life! I notice this group has not had a new thread posted for going on 2 years!

I sent @Cirilla a message last night expressing my desire to get this group going again and she got me promoted to group leader!

Just a little about me. I've been involved in the sport for over 25 years now. I have tried a lot of training programs and enjoyed much success. I've been a member of many bodybuilding groups in the past. All of them have since ceased to exist. This group is a dream come true for me. The reason is all the other groups I have been involved in had hateful/judgmental people, pornography, supplement reps pushing their products(I guess I was once one of those people), and inappropriate behavior in general. There are some bodybuilding groups that still exist but with things like triggering content I can not be a part of those groups. I know this is a place that will be free from all of that. It will be a safe place for us to discuss the sport while recovering from PMO.

We all have to start somewhere. I started as a 125 teenager with little muscle mass. I remember getting a lot of grief from others when I first started! Whether your goal is to lose body fat, build muscle, build stamina, powerlift, or maybe a little of all the above, I hope you will get involved so we can encourage one another.

While we work to achieve our physical goals, may we also encourage one another in the fight against PMO.

I joined the gym a few months back, but still this addiction makes me tired to go there regularly! I started buidling muscles since i was 14 years old. I haven't done much now that i have turned 40, I don't much motivation. I have to be involved in things that build me up and quit pmo for good.

@Leone I definitely understand what you mean. My addiction got really bad around 2012 and I ended up quitting the gym. I tried working out here and there but the addiction kept me wore out. Now that I have gained some sobriety I am making great gains again. Getting back to the gym was initially tough but it has helped my addiction a bunch. I hope you get back to lifting and pursue complete recovery from addiction.

now i need to read the book overcoming gravity and finally create some well thought and progressive workout plan, also food is a big problem for me, but training helped me a lot in fighting with my addiction, it was often that i relapsed when i neglected or avoided training,It's great that you want to make this community live again as i bielieve that training is one of the most powerfull weapon we have in fightning addiction and training willpower. Fight On!!

@crane77 I completely agree with you on how training helps addiction. I too was weak and had little energy when my PMO was bad. I don't know all the chemistry of it but I think it has to do with how PMO messes with our dopamine. I'm so glad to see you here on the group! Hopefully we can get more people here and we can all encourage one another and learn together.

I need to start going back to that gym because i am never finding time, too much work. At the age of 43 and with pmo issues, training is one way of being free from this addiction. Mo makes me so tired I don't want to train, but no more, I need discipline once and for all.
