It also highlights the estimated length of recovery time needed depending on your severity of addiction How often do you get intrusive pornogeaphic urges and thoughts A. Rarely to none B. 1-2 times a week C. Every day, all the time How is your anxiety level with women A. I have no problems having conversations with women. B. I get nervous from time to time. I wish I was more confident. C. I'm unable to maintain eye contact and have high levels of anxiety around women. What sort of pornograghy do you often gravitate too A. I don't. I prefer real women B. Just the regular stuff on porn hub or whatever C. Hardcore, fetishes, transgendered person you name it. What age did you start watching porn? A. Never really watched it B. 19 years and up C. 10-18 years How often do you masturbate to porn? A. I don't. I prefer real women B. Once or twice a week C. Almost every day. What do you wish to achieve with women A. Share a connection, sex,everything really B. The sex, but it's nice to have someone when I'm lonely C. Purely for the satisfaction of my sexual fantasies. At what level do you objectify women A. I don't objectify them I appreciate them. They are amazing B. Depends how horny I am. I'm guilty of it C. I objectify them all the time When I see an attractive women I A. Find her attractive and want to approach her and get to know her. B. Find her attractive but don't really take initiative. C. I creep on her, fantasize about having sex to her and Jerk off to her later What is your self esteem like A. I'm confident B. Depends C. Very low. I hate myself Results If you answered A to all of the questions, congratulations you don't have an addiction and probably will never read this post because your not on here. If you answered a mix of A and B you have a mild addiction and may notice benefits once you remove it. Should notice benefits in just 30 days If you answered B to all of the questions, you may have a moderate addiction and can definately benefit from removing it from your life. May require 2-3 months for full recovery If you answered a mix of B and C to the questions you have a moderate to high addiction. It may be having significant impact on your life and you need to start treating it seriously as an addiction. May require 5-6 months for recovery If you answered c to all the questions you are severely addicted and you need to seek help here on these forums. This addictions is consuming you and will destroy you if you don't take action. Start posting your journey here on the forums and start there. Requires 6-12+ months for recovery. Lastly if you answered a wide mix of A, B and C, you may have to ask if your truly being honest with yourself. I hope this helps anyone. Mateo

I think this thread is misleading and potentially harmful. You have oversimplified porn addiction and the recovery therefrom. People may be inclined to accept your methodology (if in fact there is any method in it at all). It is the forecasts of the rebooting timescales I have the biggest problem with. How and why did you come up with these estimates @Mateo89?
It is not meant to be a direct cause and effect relationship, but an estimation. It is a supportive tool, not a prescription. A lot of people just want something they can start with, a goal too look for, not be bombarded with complex recovery times; So that's what this is for, obviously numbers will vary depending on the individual. There are correlations to my questionnaire i don't think anyone can argue with and a basis that people can relate to. I'm not claiming to be a Recovery expert, I am a fellow addict like yourself expressing my ideas and theories based off my experience. I could care about less what you, or anyone else thinks of my post. Take it or leave it. If it benefits you, great, if not, then that's fine too.
