(Sorry if my English is bad) Yesterday, I watched a documentary about porn and it’s industry. Now I know definitely: I never want to watch porn again. In the documentary it was said that there are many women in the porn industry who are forced to do painful things for example. I don‘t know if that is true but it makes sense, actually because men can be disgusting things. Not all of them of course but most of them I would say. Yeah, most of the porn actresses do it for fun but it could always be that you click on a porn where a woman is forced to do things she doesn’t want to do. I don‘t want support that. It reminds me of child labor. And I don‘t want to support companies which don’t care about the physical and mental health of people! If you have urges to watch porn again, think about that. If you visit a porn website you may support human trafficking.
Yeah, human trafficking is a huge problem. Humanity's desire for porn is so strong, people will do horrible things to make money off of it. The world is sad, more people need to stand up to porn.
I would take that a step further in that even if you don't support them through money or a click, if you support it in your own mind that will trickle down in supporting a certain kind of mindset in the world that does support such things - it's just a question of how far removed but it isn't separate in the final analysis. In a very subtle way in casual conversation it may reinforce the objectification of not just women but sex itself.
no one is forced to do porn, at least not in the videos you see on the regular porn sites girls do porn to get fast money to live a luxurious lifestyle or to support a drug addiction
This is 1 of the things that motivated me to stop watching porn. Abuse in the porn industry is common and swept under the rug. http://vt.co/entertainment/sexual-abuse-porn-industry-rife-no-one-wants-talk/ https://fightthenewdrug.org/10-porn-stars-speak-openly-about-their-most-popular-scenes/
Human traffic has little to do with the desires of the pornography consumers. Your regular pornography consumer thinks all the actors and actresses are extremely happy people who have money and high self-steem, and probably wouldn't enjoy the thing knowing the people they are seeing in the video were actually kidnapped and raped. Pornography creators are a different story.
I meant humanity's desire for porn gives reason for people to kidnap people to make money off of their body.
They were good articles but I'd put a trigger warning on them. It is what I needed to read right now though, thank you
