I suggest you guys check this funny animation show out if you haven't already. The show explores kids going through puberty, with the raging hormones and all that jazz. But the real kicker comes in the finale where they explore how one of the characters gets consumed by porn and how his preferences get darker and darker. They even refer to it as a porn addiction. Also there may be some trigger material in there so watch out.
I think it's fine, me and my SO watched it together... Another PA who was into other things (like my above comment) said he couldn't watch it for those reasons. So I just thought I'd mention it here.
Eh, I watched the first episode. It's pretty funny, but at the same time it's very vulgar for young teens to be watching, which they are. I mean, the characters in the show are kids and they're doing drugs, cursing, and then blaming their problems on hormones. When I was a younger, Family Guy was considered vulgar. This show is definitely a step above.
Oh, it's a step above... Maybe 10... But it's not for kids. Neither is 13 reasons... Just because the characters are kids or the show is a cartoon, doesn't mean that it's a "kids show" Shows have ratings. Netflix has Parental Controls. Its kind of dumb to just not use this stuff and ask why a 8 year old has access. Not pointing fingers here... Just saying I've heard this excuse in real life. As a parent it's annoying As a SO, it's also ridiculous.
I do agree that parents have a responsibility, but the media should put out more kid friendly cartoons that are more appealing than the adult ones. Shows like Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, and One Piece. Nowadays, kids got Adventure Time and a lamer version of Teen Titans which just isn't cool enough for the 12-17 year old demographic. They're alright when your high , but they suck when your sober... Kids need better shiit to watch, that's all I'm sayin.
Absolutely. I did not expect Big Mouth to be so thoughtful about the subject. It's raunchy and crazy, but there's a very important message in there too. So impressed. I kept turning to my gf (also my AP) and saying "That's exactly what it's like!"
How does the vulgarity compare to south park or Rick and Morty? If it's got an episode about porn addiction I definitely want to watch it.
i have never watched this cartoon but just from looking at the picture and the title shown on my netflix i wouldn't watch it. it looks too pervert to me.i liked Family Guy when i was a teenager. i don't think i would enjoy this cartoon i would maybe curious how they approach p addiction in this cartoon. i watched some time ago a movie about s addiction and it was overwhelmingly honest and eye-opening, so honest you wouldn't expect but it was about a man with s and p addiction. i found a lot of myself in the protagonist not at his extremes though
There's a campaign to get it banned. Lol! http://citizengo.org/en/md/92875-nobigmouth-vulgar-netflix-show-sexualizes-adolescence
Just finished the first season. I laughed my ass off. The hormone monster was my favorite. Some moments were pretty fucked up, but I really liked the episode where one of the characters goes through porn addiction. Most of the people who have a problem with it haven't seen the show and are taking things out of context.
