    Good Evening,

I'm a 28 year old Male Human from the planet Earth who doesn't actually believe aliens exist in this dimension.

I've been using pornography for a while now, since I was underage if I remember correctly and I'm very sick of the low motivation, constant distraction, and large time sync that porn is causing. I was inspired to quite by a providential day of low focus but still high motivation after a night of staying up way to late watching porn. That specific combination turned a bad day into a bad day in which I abhor myself and the way I am living. This ended up being a good thing because it provided the motivation for change.

I will be start my rebooting process by removing myself from porn immediately and then weening myself off masturbation. I'll also throw in some other things I want to track like exercise, scripture, and some specific distractions. I will be tracking my progress in my Reboot Log.

I hope that I may find many friends here going forward,
    Elias Ainsworth

    Welcome
Please, start studying carefully what's happening in your mind > https://oceanrecoverycentre.com/2016/07/the-ultimate-guide-to-overcoming-internet-porn-addiction/

First time without porn will be stressful , but if you resist , in some months you will feel reborn.

If the first times a person relapse easly, it's okay.
The streaks becomes even longer , day by day.
Don't porn anymore, it's better to struggle and at the last to relapse than to look at porn.
No more instagram pictures of models. No more erotic imagines , erotic stories or erotic asmr.

We should improve in all area of our life, just being dissatisfied or stressed makes us relapse.

An effective weapon to overcome urges and thoughts : mindfulness.
The brain will try to win you and to get some triggers for the seek of dopamine. Resist

Hi Elias, and welcome to the forum! I hope you are well and safe :) .

As palindromo mentioned above, improving in all areas of our life certainly helps to leave porn. I have found doing what I love and reporting to close people is a great tool for preventing a relapse. Whenever I fail, it's because I stopped paying attention to one of these things. Never stop paying attention to what you love and is most important to you.

    Hope this helps!

You are doing great! Keep it up and never give up :) .

    Greetings,
    Aplev

Thank you for the advise! For now I am trying to stay busy. Today was a good day, didn't think about porn at all. Hardest thing for me to distance myself is going to be FanFiction as I enjoy both normal and adult versions. On most websites there it is too easy to turn on 'search all' and justify it saying I'm searching for mature themes and concepts. I have a long book I am reading now that is safe and should take me through next week.

Greetings to you as well. I definitely agree about the improve all aspects, I believe that it is vital to replace porn with healthier and more wholesome habits. Idle hands are the devils work and all that. In my case I am starting off small, just making sure I am doing something each day from each of the habits I wish to adopt. Each week I will be increasing how much I do each of those habits until they become second nature.

    Thanks again!
