Hi everyone, I just wanted to know what the worst POSSIBLE case of a PMO addiction looks like. And by that, I mean: What are the symptoms? How does it affect life? How does it affect mental and physical health? etc. Imagine someone fapping EVERYDAY, ALL DAY LONG, for, let's say, 20, 30, or 40 years. What can happen? What WILL happen? We are all struggling to find a way out of the PMO maze, but what does it actually look like when you reach the center (thank god I am not anywhere near the center)? When you enter the deepest of rabbit holes?
I think the worst possible outcome would be someone becoming so brainwashed by porn that they start to genuinely believe with all their heart and soul that the extreme depravity they consume is a natural part of them, and they start to act upon it in real life and take that final irreversible step towards being lost forever. I've only been PMO'ing for 6-7 years, only to extreme stuff for a small part of that, and even in that short space of time I was *this* close to officially declaring myself bisexual because at the time I genuinely thought I was. I think that, given enough time, I would have acted upon these false attractions and I shudder at the thought of it.
You get into the consumption and distribution of illegal material, are arrested, spend years of your life in jail and lose everything you ever valued, including your relationships, health, prospects for the future and sense of self-worth. That's a worst case scenario, but a more likely outcome is a life which is utterly mediocre in every way: subpar relationships, average to below average performance in academics and work, below average physical and mental health, a lack of passion for anything but PMO, a defeated mindset which leads one to simply get through life rather than strive for accomplishments which are exceptional or transcendent.
Worst case? You lose interest in a social life, lost your ties anyone who cared about you, you will spend eventually all your money on that addiction. You start to watch some bad shit like rape,gore, Child porn and you can end up in jail.
And all of us have the potential to get there. This is why we need to treat the addiction as soon as possible then start living our lives to the fullest.
Looking at and masterbating and enjoying the "what the fuck did I just watch" porn and that path generally includes a desire and hunger for not publically accepted content similar to what got to overcome stated above
