Words of wisdom from an addict.

I spoke with a guy the other day who has been in and out of Narcotics Anonymous for a large chunk of his life. He had also been in and out of jail several times, however, at the time that I spoke with him he was 3 years sober, had a full time job, and a truck. I was intimidated when I told him that I was in Sexaholics Anonymous because I just felt like my addiction wasn’t a real addiction compared to his. His response surprised me:

“An addiction is an addiction. You bought into the lie that something would bring fulfillment, you got hooked, and it brought the opposite. But you are loved, and you deserve a better life.”


Just remember these words in the face of temptation when it comes to PMO or any other type of sexual addiction you may have. I know they have been helping me in times of despair.
