Will anything bad happen if my last porn watched was fetish porn and I start a new streak? I'm compulsively watching and jerking off to get just the right feeling and watching the right video before a new streak but this causing problems as I keep jerking off and it's hurting my dick and body.

The most important part of getting on a no-masturbating streak is to stop masturbating. There never will be the right feeling, there never will be the right video. What there will be, with time and NoFap, is the right you; and with the right you, there will be the right woman for you; and with the right woman for you, there will be love and the right feeling. "A new streak" - what about simply "the everlasting streak after quitting porn".

I hear you man, but I can't stop. I really truly want to quit but I'm too addicted. I feel weak and defeated. Even though I want to stop my brain feels like it's driving me to jerk off to fucked up shit.

I'm sorry you feel that way, and ofc can't judge you for it. I've also gone for hours of looking up P until 5am or 8am or whenever... I feel you. It's tough to just get sucked into it. How long of streaks have you managed? Do you take OCD meds? Do you feel out of control in general, or just in regards to P? Is it possible to switch your OCD focus to something else?

I see what you're getting at, but let's straighten something out. Regardless of the type of porn or how you end your last session, the impact on your brain is the same. It's not about the category of porn or the length of your streak. See, porn in any form is like a glitch in your brain's system – it's not meant to process that kind of overload, and it can't really adapt to it.

Now, about these streaks. It's less about how many days you can count and more about what you do with those days. Someone might have a long streak because life is smooth sailing, but that's just skating on the surface. Another person might struggle daily because life's throwing curveballs, but they're digging deeper into the real issue. That's where the real work happens.

So, don't get too hung up on the number of days. It's not a scoreboard. It's about rebuilding what porn has taken from you. Explore how to channel your energy into something meaningful, figure out what kind of relationships you truly want, and focus on regaining what's been lost.

Counting days can be like setting up a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's like saying, "I'm going to fall eventually." Instead, shift your focus. Think about building a life so engaging and fulfilling that porn becomes irrelevant. That's the real victory.

I can understand the feeling of needing to not be having your last video a fetish one, or even one you find repulsive.
I can also understand the want of finding the perfect video to "end" this relapse on and start afresh.

However the best time to stop watching is NOW.

You've already said you're doing damage to your penis and body. Your mind too is being harmed.

    When do the urges come?
What are you doing when the urges come?

Are they predictable? Try to see a pattern and replace the urge with something phsyically exhausting like pushups or wall pushups, or plank. Eventually you'll train your brain that the urge comes and it can be dispelled without the porn.

Regarding the last image you watched, well - this week I've been watching Miss Universe. No where near porn, right? But then someone at work moved her hair in exactly the same way as a hair twirl on stage. And I had a pang. I realised how horrid this is and how easy the images can pollute your mind into the every day situations of life.

Stop now, dude. Not when you've find the "perfect" one - because you never will be satisfied. If porn had satisfied your desires, you would have stopped by now.
