Why it's Pointless to Argue Over the Merits of Nofap

If you're a member of this community, it's likely because you're trying to overcome addiction to porn and or masturbation. You made the choice: and if others object, who cares? Don't argue why you're doing this. The person on the other line has probably already made up their mind. Arguing over the merits of nofap is a waste of time and energy. There will always be those who disagree: so don't worry about them and keep moving.

I see these long-winded arguments in YouTube comments sections about the most insignificant things. These people get emotionally involved in topics that bear virtually no weight upon their daily lives. Nofap is no exception to this. People say that "nofap is bullshit" and "nofap benefits are just placebo" and even "nofap is for beta cucks." Those who support nofap try to argue with them to no avail. If nofap benefits you, keep doing it. If somebody thinks you're weird for doing nofap, what's the worst that can happen? Whatever it is, it's not nearly as bad as the effects of PMO (which are too lengthy for this post). You left PMO for a reason, so don't let some stranger on the internet hold you back.

P.S. I find it quite laughable when people say "nofap is for beta cucks." I don't see anything particularly alpha about jerking off to pixels on a screen. In fact, I'm sure everybody's lost the true meaning of "Alpha" and "Beta." Hell, the goalposts are shifted on what constitutes an "Alpha" and a "Beta" so damn much that these terms carry almost no weight anymore. The meanings of "Alpha" and "Beta" have basically been diluted to mean "strong" and "weak" respectively. In reality, the separation from alpha and beta isn't so black and white. I'm not going into detail but apparently anybody who holds an opinion/lifestyle in opposition to your own is a "beta cuck" (according to the internet).

 

Last night I was scrolling through the comments of a nofap video and one person was saying that he tried to do nofap and just gave up. He said that it was too hard and he'd rather just live with the addiction. It made me sad that he'd rather be addicted than go through the discomfort of recovery/reboot.
