    What's up with that? Why not just keep it blank, post a cartoony picture, or something of a non-personal nature??

    Do you mean on this site in particular or in general? I think the 'in general' answer is a mix of vanity and lack of self-confidence. For these forums in particular, I have no idea. I once called a girl out on these forums for that exact reason. I wasn't mean, just simply asked why she was surprised that she got hit-on after posting a sexual picture of herself. I haven't seen her around since.

    who's posting provocative pictures? I've seen girls post pictures of themselves but I haven't seen anything even remotely triggering. I think ones problems extend way beyond porn if they can't handle even the mere image of a clothed women lmao

    Why would a women want to post a picture of herself on this forum if not to seek attention?

    And why is that the vast majority of men do not post a personal picture, but many if not most women do [if it is even of them]?

    They either want compliments or they want to feel sexy... I dunno i'm not a chick so I can't say for sure. In any case we can all agree that staring at women is much more pleasing than staring at dudes.

    I think the male of the species has perhaps a more innate ability to abstract himself from his own particulars into a more general and universal element whereby he finds satisfactory a purely rational communication by the use of a symbolic black and white script, which whilst at times will be evocative of mental imagery, remains devoid of all color and pictorial representations. :)
