FM radio was the latest thing.

Party line phones - wired phone connections that you shared with your neighbors. If your neighbor was using the phone you had to wait.

Power steering, power brakes and automatic transmissions were expensive upgrade options when buying a new car. Base price of a car was less than $2,000.

My parents paid $6,000 for the house that my four brothers and I grew up in. My grandmother lived with us too.

Color TV was a new thing.

35 cents admission to the movies for a matinee.

I could go on but your get the idea.

One more thing ... every generation that comes of age (including mine) thinks it invented sex.
