Hey Sam. First an observation: I'm going on the longest stretch I have managed to maintain in the past 30+ years. I have spent the last week on the road for work and in a hotel room, and though I was pestered by the thought of PMO, I was at no time in danger of giving in. This is interesting to me because just a few weeks ago I was in the exact same situation, and it was extremely difficult for me. Still, I didn't give up or give in.
I have said this before and its obvious but it bears repeating: This is extremely hard work. I say this to everyone who reads this thread that if you are trying to make a change, give yourself some credit for any time you get...I mean it. Its easy to shit on yourself for giving in. But in the course of a month of trying and going only 2 or 3 days at a stretch before you give in, that equals to a half a month or more that you stayed strong, versus daily forays into the abyss when your not trying.
My suggestions are these: When you are in the throes of your addiction, in whatever form it takes, you have to change your situation deliberately and immediately.
This can be whatever you have found helpful. Get up and get out. Do push ups as someone suggested, break a plate, scream into a pillow, sit quietly and be mindful of the urge...whatever you do that you have found helpful. Just do it. Keep doing it.
I usually land here on this site first when I go online at my leisure. It helps to reinforce the idea that this is a problem, and not to take it lightly. It sometimes has been helpful to read something on yourbrainonporn.com that brings the industry side of our problem into the fore. These are damaged women being monetized by a business that doesn't give a fuck about their well being or value them in any way.
You wouldn't want someone you cared about being used like that as am image for a complete stranger to jerk off too.
In the end, your recovery is yours alone, and what works for you will not work for me.
As they say in AA: Keep coming back, it works.

Good for you Sam. Theres plenty to read here and lots of good advice and ideas. Take them and use them as your own. Some will work and some wont. Take the ones that do and build yourself a tool kit. This way you can make determinations as to what to use in a given situation. Then you can and will eventually make use of the extra time and concentration that you have at your disposal and use it to benefit yourself in a more intelligent, directed, and wholesome way.
