As said above. I use a iOS smartphone where I only use the option that's included with the OS. For my laptop, I use Windows. Here I use in Google Chrome the free extension "Tiny Web Filter". I have used my paid McCafee Antivirus to block these pages but no luck so far. Which software do YOU use?
Porn is great when you search for it and find it yourself, but if you are an old lady or a schoolboy, then this is not the most acceptable content. On the other hand... No matter. I can advise you to read about Bullguard antivirus software. I read about it on the website https://antivirus-review.com/bullguard-review. This is a very good antivirus.
I've recently started using CovenantEyes. It's more expensive than other options that I've seen, but I think is a much better program - especially for pornography addiction. It does a few things: 1) Filters, including custom filters. 2) Establishing "Allies" - people who get reports regarding your internet use. Have you been "good"/"bad". It sends them automatic email reports every few days and I think notices when you've been looking at questionable material. 3) It takes random screenshots of the devices which the software is installed in. Has some algorithm which can decide whether you're looking at something you shouldn't be. Blurred out versions of these screenshots can be accessed by your established Allies, in case you actually weren't looking at something inappropriate. 4) If you uninstall the software, it sends an email to your Ally informing them that you did this. (My recommendation would be to have someone else control your password entirely.) A membership allows for installation into any number of devices and operating systems. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I used k9 on my computer in the past and am thinking of reinstalling it. I have seen recommendations to create a password using a random password generator, and then throwing it away, but I was nervous that it would block something that shouldn't be blocked and then I'd be screwed. So I used the VIN number of my wife's car as the password. It isn't bulletproof, but being home alone was a big trigger for me, and I wouldn't have the password to unblock the adds when her car wasn't there. In the case that I did need to unblock it, however, I could just go get it while she was home.
I downloaded “Blocksite” which is a app on a phone that blocks porn websites. I use that so that I can stay away from porn. Blocksite is a VPN app and if I turn it on it blocks porn websites and if I turn it off it unblocks porn websites.
Use https://lockbox.pluckeye.net/ add your password and in order to unlock it you have to wait 1-7 days. I also use K9, though the product was discontinued, K9 protection still works.
I think you would be really well served to have someone who you can have "own" the password, rather than yourself. This of course requires that someone else knows about what you are working on. I know every time Ive tried to use software or blocking by myself I've always found ways around it. ALSO: I saw that NetNanny has a service now where they will control your password for you. Only available on PC/Android I believe.
