The podcast Stories of our times recently did an episode on how porn is affecting young people. The journalist who was in favour of porn changed her mind after taking a look around Pornhub. She's of the view that porn that's on Pornhub is propaganda for misogyny. It's interesting that she talked about porn addiction as if it's a real thing and briefly talked about PIED.

Just by viewing this forum, one can see that teens are losing their ability to have an erection as early as 19 years old. That used to be unheard of. Sad...

  3. I think a lot of people don't realise how bad it's gotten. When you used to need to buy dirty magazines or tapes, it was still perverse and wrong but not ridiculous. Most of the time you just wanted to look at boobs. Now if I go onto a porn site I'm blasted in the face with extreme BDSM, incest, racebaiting, and sometimes outright gay content. You used to need to actively look for those things for them to show up, now they are on the homepage. In my opinion porn is more than a vice now, it's a tool of control and demoralisation.

There was a podcaster on YouTube who claimed that porn is one of the most destructive thing not only to individuals but to an entire country. I used to think that this was an exaggeration but I've come to believe that it could actually be true. These developments take their time but when they finally come into full effect we will see entire generations crumble under this addiction and it will have serious impacts on everyday life as we know it. I'm talking about impulse control which is what allows a society to function in the first place.
