When I first heard about nofap I thought "Wow, this is interesting. I hope these nofap people are correct. I want to try quitting porn so I can experience all these great benefits."
For the life of me, I can't imagine why a man would think otherwise. Are they proud of their porn habits? Is it part of their identity so they see nofap as a personal attack on them?

When I first heard of Nofap, I didn't really care for it. I didn't take it serious. Also porn was easy and pleasant to have. Just over two weeks ago I was very intimate with a woman I was seeing. When it came to it, I found I had erectile dysfunction. So I researched on it and I now know porn and masturbation are mostly to blame.

I would like to have a full healthy relationship with a woman. That's my main motivation for joining. Since I've started it I actually feel better within myself. No guilt. No shame. I feel I can be honorable again. Now I know the destructive nature of porn I'm all for Nofap.

Simply because they don't consider themselves as addicts and they don't see any threat in watching porn or masturbating.
That's the same thing if an alcoholic will ask "why do my neighbors continue on drinking alcohol"

More like an alcoholic asking "why do my neighbors tell me alcoholism doesn't exist?'

It doesn't.. As long as you know when to put your limits.
Again, they aren't skeptical, they just don't care.
Because nobody cares about other people's problems until it gets to you.

Their decision is really subconsciouss driven. Their subconscious-past experience is filled with 'pleasure'. So they have a hard time to think bad of it.

When I heard about no NoFap I was really curious because I had years of trying to quit porn and masturbation... I think that the people who dismiss NoFap see PMO as a normal thing, and think "I have a huge sex drive because I need to masturbate every day and porn is great for that" but fail to see the big scam porn is in reality.

A lot of men are suffering the effects of porn addiction, yet they are in denial about it. Every man on 4chan is a severe porn addiction, yet there are tons of naysayers there.
They think that as long as you're not watching 6 hours of porn every day, you're not addicted. But as we all know even 30 minutes a day is enough to screw you up.

The vast majority of men out there have masturbated to porn at some point and do not really believe there's an addiction aspect to it. Most of them will be fine and won't realize that it's dangerous and habit forming. I think that they find the idea of "quitting" online porn stupid. Unfortunately it'll be that way for a while. Let's take care of ourselves and just wait for people to become more informed.

I don't think most young men will be fine. Even if they are adequately functional, they have been robbed of their ambition.

The older men are mostly fine though

I think another factor may be politics. A lot of Americans of a certain political bent are deathly afraid of being associated with the groups that have historically opposed porn. Many of them would rather die than hold an unfashionable opinion.
