    What is porn?

    For some people this is a straight forward question... it might be nudity, sexual acts or simulated acts, for others they might feel that porn is more than that, and for others it may be anything that stimulates them to masturbate.

    I’m starting to see it as the last one for me, I have been looking at porn in its various forms for over 40 years and I find that even when abstaining from porn I will seek clothed images that most people would not consider porn but still cause me to fall into the behaviours displayed when I watch porn.

    In addition these images can often be a gateway to other sites so obviously that is not helpful in my recovery.

    It is for the above reasons that I have pushed it up a notch and have reset my goal counter from avoiding porn to porn and abstinence.

    Initially it’s only 7 days but you have to start somewhere.

    For me porn is anything that is sexually impure. If I say anything that stimulates then that would be my wife, but my wife is created to be my one sexually outlet. But anything outside of her would be. Some call it P-subs, but its all the same. It will lead you down the same path.
