What happens to the imagery and flashbacks?

    Whether it's citing a scientific study or talking about an experience (yours or of someone else), different from intrusive thoughts, I was curious to learn what happens down the line to the pornographic imagery and flashbacks. Do they lose potency, completely vanish, remain, etc ? What are the suggested actions to take too. Thanks in advance.

    From my experience they lose potency and frequency but it takes time. You have to learn to switch your thoughts to something else or start doing something else when they happen. I have seen others post that they do go away after time. This whole process is about time and you have to be patient and persistent with it all. Good luck, and keep going!
